The Adoption Journey

People will be able to ask Mac Powell of Third Day band questions from this page, 3pm-3:30pm EDT on TODAY -- March 30the using the hashtag #macadoption.  Mac will answer questions that are geared toward being an adoptive parent, whether you have adopted already or are in the early stages of adoption.

The Adoption Journey Project presents two live web events for ministry leaders to better understand how adoption can related to your ministry.  A walk through of international adoptions in Africa as well as a presentation of tangible case studies of church programs addressing adoption outside of preaching it from the pulpit.  Register to win a free iPad or a free ticket to Catalyst Dallas 2012.

The AdoptionJourney.org Project (@AdoptJourney) will host a Live Chat on Twitter focusing on Mac Powell’s personal experience as an adoptive parent.   Pre-adoptive couples will be able to submit questions to Mac Powell and receive real-time answers during the 30-minute Q&A on Twitter from @MacPowell.  The Live Chat will happen at 3pm EDT on March 30 using the hashtag #MACADOPTION.

Families are urgently needed to adopt waiting children in Ghana and Uganda.  Both programs have children of various ages available for adoption, including some younger children with a range of special needs.

Church leaders will be able to play a free downloadable video message featuring Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy and his wife Lauren during the typical announcement time of a Sunday worship service.

After five hours in the car, we have settled into the city of MaoMing, China. Mara Ruth was born here sixteen months ago, and tomorrow we will spend the day at the orphanage where she has lived all her life. It will be an important, yet difficult, day as she interacts with children she has been around and caregivers who have nurtured her. This time will offer her a bit of closure while also giving us a glimpse of her life to this point.
