About Us

AdoptionJourney.com is a collective of organizations who want to break down the barriers to adoption. Our goal is to foster honest conversations about the adoption process, offer comprehensive yet easily accessible information about domestic and international adoption, and connect those who’ve already adopted with those who are thinking about it.

We are hope producers, future generators, and joy catalysts for orphans and families around the world. We are Bethany Christian Services, Lifesong for Orphans, and Lifeline Children's Services.

Children thrive in safe, strong, and loving families. Since 1944 Bethany Christian Services has served orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children on five continents to fulfill their vision that every child should be with a loving family. As the largest non-profit adoption agency in the United States, they possess the resources to provide world-class social services such as pregnancy counseling, adoption, foster care, family preservation, and post-adoption counseling.
Isaiah 61:1-3 God says He wants to replace ashes with beauty, give joy where there is mourning, and instill hope where there is despair. That’s the inspiration for Lifesong for Orphans. They want to see the adversity and struggle that orphans face turned into strength and victory—a lifesong for children. Lifesong provides in-country leadership training for about 2,500 orphans in Ukraine, Zambia, India, Ethiopia, Liberia, and Honduras through Christian school, adoption, foster care, transition homes, and job-skill training. They’re passionate about removing the “barriers” to adoption through programs like Adoption Matching Grants, Interest-free Loans, and Church Adoption Funds.
Lifeline Children’s Services brings families together through the mission of adoption. They’ve expanded their services to include foster care and orphan care. Lifeline promotes the sanctity of life through their Domestic Adoption and Birth Mother Ministry, which provides counseling, medical care, legal services, and maternity home care to young women in the midst of unplanned pregnancies. One of the first agencies to receive Hague Accreditation, Lifeline offers International Adoption in 14 countries and has placed over 2,500 children into loving families. They also recruit, train, and license families in their Foster Care program. In 2009 Lifeline launched its newest ministry, (Un)adopted, a focused service committed to long-term community development and transformation so that solutions, opportunities, and support exist for older orphans.
